About Me

Jenny Maguire, LCSW-C

Life can feel unpredictable and overwhelming—especially when you’re constantly adapting to new environments, unexpected challenges, or major life transitions. Whether you’ve faced frequent relocations, the uncertainty of military life, or the emotional toll of change, it’s easy to feel unprepared and unsure where to turn next.

As both a military spouse and veteran, I understand those challenges firsthand. I’ve lived through deployments, PCS moves every few years, and the “hurry up and wait” culture that defines much of military life. While not every client I work with has a military background, my experiences within those communities have shaped my empathy, adaptability, and respect for resilience in all its forms. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you can explore difficult emotions, process your experiences, and build the skills needed to feel grounded—even when life feels uncertain.

I’m a Certified Sex Informed Therapy Professional and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional conducting evidence-based modalities that help individuals heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other stress-related concerns as well as navigating sex discrepancies, sex education, and low/no sex dynamics in many relationship settings.

I’ve also had the privilege of collaborating with service members, law enforcement, legal professionals, educators, and healthcare providers, which has strengthened my understanding of the unique stressors faced by individuals and families in high-demand roles.

Before becoming a therapist, I served in the United States Air Force, where I discovered a passion for mentoring, leadership, and helping others reach their potential. Over more than 16 years living abroad, I learned from diverse cultures and perspectives on resilience, family, and problem-solving. Later, I transitioned into education—a field that strengthened my desire to support children and families—which ultimately led me to pursue a career in Clinical Social Work.

Today, I bring over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Each detour, transition, and challenge in my journey has led me to this work—and to you. My hope is that you’ll allow me the privilege of walking alongside you as you navigate your own path toward healing and growth.

I can’t promise that everything will suddenly get easier—but I can promise that you’ll get stronger at handling it, and you won’t have to do it alone.
