Individual Therapy

What to Expect

At Resilient Edge Therapy, individual therapy is a space where you can slow down, unpack what’s weighing on you, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in compassion. You set the pace — and together, we’ll focus on what feels most important for your healing and growth.

As your therapist, I’m not here to “fix” you. I’m here to walk alongside you as you learn new ways to cope, communicate, and connect with yourself and others. Sometimes that means processing painful emotions or past trauma; other times, it means building concrete tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and strengthen your sense of self.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-driven. I draw from a range of approaches that allow me to adapt our work to your specific needs, values, and goals. You can expect therapy that balances structure with flexibility — rooted in research, yet deeply personal and attuned to your lived experience.

Modalities I Use

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps you recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns that impact mood and behavior.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): Supports adolescents in processing and healing from traumatic experiences.

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): Targets beliefs and patterns that keep trauma symptoms stuck, fostering emotional clarity and self-compassion.

  • Prolonged Exposure (PE): A trauma-specific approach that helps reduce avoidance and reestablish a sense of safety.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Builds skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance.

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI): A collaborative, goal-oriented approach that strengthens your own motivation for change.

  • Problem-Solving Therapy (PST): Focuses on practical tools for managing daily stress and decision-making.

  • Sex Therapy Informed Professional: Addresses intimacy, sexual functioning, and relational concerns in an open, affirming, and respectful space.

  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP): Specialized training in understanding and treating complex trauma and PTSD.

Areas of Focus

I work with teens, adults, and couples navigating:

  • PTSD and trauma recovery

  • Anxiety, depression, and burnout

  • Relationship or intimacy challenges

  • Life transitions and adjustment stress

  • Military and veteran experiences

  • Family conflict, parenting, and identity growth

What You Can Expect

You can expect honesty, warmth, and a touch of humor in our work together. I’ll help you develop practical coping strategies while holding space for the deeper emotions and patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Therapy with me is about finding balance and building resilience — not striving for perfection, but learning to adapt and thrive through life’s challenges.

You won’t have to face the hard stuff alone. I’ll meet you where you are, help you gain clarity, and support you as you find your edge again.
